Mike Quarress has been committed to the field of Mental Health and Addictions for over 15 years serving individuals, family’s and couples struggling with a spectrum of Mental Health issues including addiction, trauma and specializing in attachment injury. Mike uses a number of treatment modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Mike brings his own personal experience, knowledge and passion into the work he executes utilizing credentials as a Clinician with a Masters Degree, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist with the International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals. Mike is a professional member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health. Mike has been working with those struggling with Compulsive Sexual Behaviours along with partners who struggle with the impacts of these behaviours from the lens of Betrayal Trauma for over 5 years. Mike is also a Certified Canadian Addiction Counsellor through the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation as well as an Accelerated Resolution Therapy Clinician with the International Society of Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I reside in beautiful Vancouver Island, BC Canada with my spouse, twin daughters, dog, cat and a number of fish in the aquarium. I have a love for the outdoors and live an active lifestyle.
